Chromecast vs iPhone

dear community, 

 

I need your help , I get the following message when tryin to connect my Chromecast too google home with my iPhone 15.


I’ve restarted my whole chromecast, updated my phone, updated my apps, made sure my local network access is on, and I still receive this message:

Living room tv may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your privacy settings and try again. 

don’t know what too do anymore any help is appreciated

Hi Mac07,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. The “can’t communicate” message is usually related to the setup device. Try to delete the Google Home App, then restart the iPhone before reinstalling it. Proceed with setup and let us know if it still persists. You may need to try another smartphone just to set it up. Let us know how it goes.
