Had a few old Chromecast versions, and one of them stopped working when I upgraded to new routers and applied WPA3. Figured the one not working was too old, so I just bought a new one, with Google TV and 4K support.
I was REALLY suprised when it couldn't find my WPA3-secured network, and looking in to some threads here I realized it might actually not support WPA3 at all. Just want to check if that's really the case? After all, it's 2023 and in some threads I've seen this issue mentioned long time ago.
Stepping down to WPA2 is not an alternative, so I really hope that this issue will be solved within the very near future?

Thank you for the reply, even though it's a bit disappointing... 😉
I just believe that all security-related development will be even more important for every year that passes by.
For the products to be relevant also for users concerned about security in their networks the products need to be in par with the industry. Both WIFI6 and WPA3 has been around for quite a while so as a customer I expect new products to be compatible. Maybe I need to look in to details in specifications a bit more from now on, but I strongly hope that the Google-team will implement the relevant standards within the near future. Until then I guess I just have to find alternatives..?
