Chromecast with Google TV 4k needs to be restarted/ power cycled daily

For several months Chromecast with Google TV 4k does not output anything every day when we turn on the TV.  Have tried multiple HDMI ports and have factory reset the chromecast 3+ times with fixes it for a couple days but keeps reoccurring. 

We need to pull the power cable to get it to restart and then it works fine for the evening.. until the next day when we need to repeat the process. 

Device still shows in home app despite no tv output.   Other Chromecast w/ Google TVs work fine in the house (but they are non-4k)
