Chromecast with Google Tv USB issues

Hi, 

Since the last update in July. 

I cannot access USB files and I cannot use the apps on my usb storage or move apps to USB storage. Anyone have a fix in this issue please?

Hi ElNasir,

 

Thanks for reaching out. You could try to reboot your Chromecast and USB Hub. Resetting your Chromecast might also help. You may also try to use a different drive or hub to isolate the issue.

Hello,

The recent update has made it impossible to force apps without a manifest of being able to be written to external storage to function, when they are installed on an external USB stick. The solution you gave did not help. Also, if you attempt to hover over a USB drive that is not formatted as a system drive in settings, the OS automatically returns you to the default screen. These are few things I have observed so far. Pls these issues should be addressed with an update.
