I am considering purchasing a Chromecast with Google TV HD. My wife and I would like to have our own controllers that we can use independently with this device. Can two controllers be paired with a single device and can either control the device. E.g, I start a video using one device and then my wife pauses the video with her device.
If this is possible where can I purchase a second controller?

You don't need to buy another remote if one of you has a compatible Android phone that support the Virtual Remote:

That's what I use as my second remote (or as my third remote when I use my tablet).
You may not get ALL of the same features (such as volume control) but you get most of the features of the physical remote.

Appreciate the response. We both have iPhones so …
As an aside, not sure if not being able to change volume would make that a viable solution as that is one of the primary use cases when two people (especially married people) are watching TV 🙀

The volume option depends on the TV. My TV only accepts IR commands for volume so I can't use the virtual remote.
But, some TVs accept HDMI commands for volume. On those, the virtual remote will give you volume control.
The only way to know is to try it.
Either way, it's a nice thing to setup. It's free and I love the keyboard input option (rather than having to click all around the screen to type something).
