Chromecast with google tv searchable apps

Currently the searchable apps list in the settings is broken. No searchable apps are shown aside from netflix. I know I have other apps that should show in the list of apps but I can't add anything other than netflix. I have both kodi, plex and prime video enabled and all should be searchable but they don't appear in the list. Is this a bug? Is this being addressed? Do I need to do something new in the code to make my app searchable (the app matches the examples in the SDK documentation)

From what I can tell from searching, Google Updates fix this once every 5-or-so updates.  So, It will work, and then stops working for the next 3-4 updates, then it comes back.  It's apparently a running joke.

It's literally the only thing I need now that all my apps are installed.  I search a movie or show, and it's a YouTube result only.  My apps don't appear in any of the Settings lists.  No results from any apps ever appear.

I'm in the U.K and it is exactly the same for me. I've had the google chromecast with tv for a week now, which I'm pretty impressed with. Much faster than the mk1 chromecast...just very frustrating that the key "selling point" ie the voice assist for searching content from installed apps does not work. It will happily search YouTube TV content only....which isn't even available in the U.K...
