Chromecast won’t connect to the Wi-Fi. So I factory reset it and now it won’t authenticate(?)

Pretty much the title. I got a new router but everything else stayed the same. I’ve tried the 5 Common Troubleshooting Steps but I still cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. I either get a “Check internet connection” screen on my TV or a “The Chromecast needs to be authenticated” type message on my Samsung Galaxy. I never had these issues with my old router and all my other devices are connecting to the Wi-Fi perfectly well. Please advise.

Hi there i am also having the same issue. I changed the password of my router it gont connected once then again same unable to connect wifi

Hi everyone,

I want to share my fix, it may help you to resolve the wifi issue. Well, I am using Chromecast with my Samsung tv smart hub. after many attempts today I disabled all network settings from my TV like CEC-HDMI and wifi of my tv afterward I connected my chrome to my tv and started setup and luckily I got success. Now my device is set up and ready you can try it.

Fhon15, have you tried the suggested steps shared by ImranDanish1? If yes, how was it? If you're still having trouble, please reboot your Wi-Fi router, Chromecast, and mobile phone. Reinstalling the Google Home app and using a different mobile phone might also help.
