Chromecast wont boot

My chromecast randomly buffered and shutdown while watching Hulu. It never came back on on its own. The remote still controlled input and power. I hard reboot it and it is now stuck on the Google G. No amount of time holding the reset button effects it. PLEASE HELP!!?!?!?!

I have the same issue, can we please get some help? for some reason I think we had it the same day, could it be some error during an update process? Please help as I already tried multiple things:

I tried: Using a different cable and wall charger, factory reset won't work as it only shows the white light and nothing changes, I tried unplugging it while having the button pressed to try to get into fastboot to wipe all data and it won't let me, I tried with everything and nothing works. Please help!

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast with Google TV (4K). Could you please try to plug it into a different HDMI port on your TV and reboot your Wi-Fi router? Also, if one is available, plug it into a different TV screen and test.

I tried it on 3 different TVs and used 3 different power cables and outlets. It does the same thing on all of them.

Same here. Just tried on different TVs, router rebooted and every possible option and it is still the same 

 

I wonder, if chances are that it got stuck in the middle of an update, then how can we unstuck it from that point? This is definitely a very sad situation..
