Connect new chromecast to TV problem.

Not a smart TV with no Wi-Fi capability.
Went through all the instructions from chromecast to try if no connection and nothing worked.
ie different hdmi port, reboot Chrome etc

It did work on another TV.
My TV is a Soniq with 1080 HD but is about 6-7 years old.
When I plug it in it comes up with the “G” logo for about 10 seconds then goes to “no signal”

Gut feel is my TV is the problem??

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Stu6,

Thanks for reaching out and for the details you've shared. What Chromecast device are we working on? Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

  1. Plug in your Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  2. Reboot your TV and Wi-Fi router.
  3. Reset your Chromecast.

Regards,

Juni

Hi Stu6,

Thanks for trying those steps. Since your Chromecast worked on another TV there is a possibility that it has something to do with the TV. Try to contact your TV manufacturer and let them know how we isolate the issue.

Thanks,
