Thanks for getting back to us. I'd like to know more about what's happening so we can sort this thing out.
A few questions — are there any messages showing when you are trying to cast? What type of Chromecast device do you have? What is the LED light status in your Chromecast device?
Give these steps a try:
Make sure your phone is within 20 feet away from the Chromecast and WiFi router.
Make sure the Chromecast device is set up correctly.
Make sure your phone is connected on the same WiFi network as your Chromecast device.
Use a different mobile phone.
Reboot your Chromecast, phone, and WiFi router.

On iOS devices, you have to use the cast button inside of cast-enabled apps (like Netflix, Hulu, Google Movies, etc).

If the app is not cast-enabled, you won't be able to cast at all.
And, of course, you have to have a Chromecast device connected to your TV for all of this to work.
