Disconnected Device Error

Setting up my new chromecast and get all the way through and it tells me I have a disconnected device. I followed the troubleshooting steps on another persons thread who had the same issues. However when I try to click on settings under the device to turn off guest mode as suggested in the other thread, it tells me “unable to access device settings”. I have tried on my iPhone and now my iPad and get the same error on both. I have factory reset twice now and readded the device, switched my devices to Wi-Fi only, rebooted my router, etc.

Thanks for reaching out. Please try to forget the network on your phone then reconnect to the same network as your Chromecast. Rebooting your Chromecast and mobile devices might also help.
