Hi all, I am really hoping someone on here can help.
We bought a Chromecast with Google tv for my mom for her birthday and it has worked fine for the last few weeks.
She brought it to our place for the holidays and we connected a Bluetooth speaker to it so she could listen to her tv on her patio in the warmer months.
However, after we disconnected the Bluetooth device, we have not had any audio coming from the tv speakers.
We have tried restarting the device, connecting and disconnecting the Bluetooth speaker, forgetting the Bluetooth speaker and even tried connecting a different Bluetooth speaker. These all failed, including disconnecting or forgetting the other Bluetooth speaker, or trying to switch from one speaker to another then disconnecting all.
We saw something online about using the Google home app to set the audio to the TV, however it didn't have that option in our settings, just the option to make groups or have a delay.
We tried swapping the Chromecast to another HDMI port in case that was somehow the issue.
As a last resort we even tried a factory reset, yet we still have no audio on tv.
We are at our wits end and don't know what else to try at this point.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Shane

Hi everyone, in case anyone else is having a similar problem, this worked:
Let's do some troubleshooting steps that might help, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the TV completely (power off and disconnect the power cord from the power outlet).
2. Disconnect the Chromecast from the HDMI port, and if the
3. Chromecast is plugged into the power outlet, disconnect it. (Wait for 2 minutes)
4. Power on the TV and reconnect the power source to the Chromecast device but do not put the Chromecast into the TV HDMI port yet, wait 30 seconds.
5. Plug the Chromecast device into an HDMI port on the TV.
6. Change the TV to the same HDMI input as the Chromecast.
