I can't get ethernet connection working on my Chromecast with Google TV.
* I'm using an HP Usb C minidock (https://www.hp.com/nl-nl/shop/product.aspx?id=1PM64AA&opt=AC3&sel=ACC)
* This minidock is working on my laptop. Ethernet connection on my laptop via this minidock is no problem.
* My ethernetcable is fine. If i connect the cable directly to my laptop I get instant ethernet connection.
* I've tried reïnstalling my Chromecast with ethernetcable connected.
There is just no ethernet connection, only Wifi. Hope you can help, do you have any suggestions?

So I dont own that speicifc hub and had to look up the specs, but I suspect that its the power that is casuing issues. You need at least a 45 W power supply for the Chromecast with Google TV, and that dock uses Max 15 W, so if you are using the original AC adapter, then it may be underpowered , especially if you have anything else plugged into it. The minidock is capable of supporting up to a 90 W power adapter, (https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05763121), again this is just supposition.

Thanks for your reply! So if this is true, I need to buy an other hub unfortunately.
