I have the Chromecast TV HD model, and apart from there being no BBC iPlayer app (?!) it works well.
I connect the Chromecast to the internet via the google Ethernet adapter. Everytime I go to connect to my VPN (using the standard Nord VPN app from Google Play Store), the ethernet connection drops. Most of the time I have to reboot the Chromecast to reconnect as the Ethernet option disappears from the network settings. Sometimes it is stlll there and I can reconnect to ethernet by unplugging and replugging in the ethernet cord.
Anyone else experiencing this issue, or is there a workaround to get VPN working over ethernet?

Hey there pob1,
I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is having issues with Ethernet! I can imagine this issue is pretty frustrating, so I'd be happy to help you out. The first thing I would do is check for updates to the Chromecast device, since there was a recent bug-fix update that went out. Then, if I would reboot the Chromecast after you do so, to clear out any cached data in the memory that could be affecting the Chromecast prior to the update.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran
