Hello. I noticed that since the last update there have been problems with frames, it drops frames and stutters. This is most visible on Netflix and YouTube. Sports on TV are unwatchable. Any ideas?

There's nothing you can do about it. All you can do is pray that Google fixes it, or throw it in the trash.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. It seems that there are a number of users who are experiencing this issue. Kindly report this via Settings > Help and Feedback and describe what’s going on in detail. Make sure you include the identifier “CCT3 - Stutter After Update” in your description of what happened. The engineering team collects these for diagnostics.

Post it here once you’re done. We look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Kimy

Hi everyone,

Thanks to those who sent feedback.

The update roll-out is still ongoing and hasn’t reached its completion. We’re sorry if some users are experiencing issues while this update is still rolling out. We’re anticipating all of this to be completed by early next year or around January. Please bear with us.

Let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Kimy

Hi TOTTSON1989,

Thanks for the reply. The roll-out patch fix hasn’t reached completion. We’re gathering data to compare the number of users that are still experiencing the issue as the roll-out progresses and reaches completion. We’re anticipating a few more days, but we really appreciate you letting us know that it still persists. We’ll keep sending reports until the rollout is completed. Kindly keep us posted.

Thanks,

Kimy

Hi folks,

Just an update. The ticket status still shows open, and the last message I heard was that Chromecast with Google TV 4K is almost complete, while Chromecast with Google TV HD is halfway through. For the 4K version users, kindly check if you’re still experiencing issues, as it’s possible that it’s already completed. For the HD version users, kindly hang on since we're almost there. We’ll keep you posted.

Warmly,

Kimy

Hi folks,

Just an update. A rollout for the new Android TV OS build, STTL.231114.004, has been released. Kindly update yours, and if it is not available, you may need to factory reset to force it. Let us know how it goes.

Warmly,

Kimy

Hello. There have already been two updates and the problem still persists. Many people write that it helps  "disable HW overlay" in developer mode, and it really works. However, after each restart, Chromecast has to be set again. So the problem is probably here. Fix it! How long I have to wait?
