Google TV device is plugged into the HDMI port and uses the original brick power supply unit to power the device from the wall socket. It started restarting itself. Sometimes it comes back up where it stopped or sometimes it does not come back at all. Have to manually unplug the power supply and the HDMI and plug it back in to start it back up.

A few questions: when did the issue start? Is this happening when watching a video or even when it's in idle mode? Please unplug the Chromecast and plug it back in after 24 hours. Plugging it on a different power outlet and TV screen might also help.
If the issue persists, factory reset your device. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.

Hello Jennifer, I apologies for the late reply. Yes, I followed the steps by factory resetting the device on the same day I raised the ticket. It was fine until yesterday and it started to restart again.
