Google Assistant

Hello,

I recently bought a Chromecast with Google TV, and I really like it. When using the Google Assistant (by pressing the black button on the remote and speaking to it), sometimes I get a locked results. For instance, if I say,  'Home Town', it'll take me to a list of Home Town shows, but they all have a locked symbol, and when I click on a show , it only gives me information about it, but it won't enable me to watch that show. If I want to watch it, I'll have to go to Discovery Plus, and navigate to that show.

Any idea how I could start watching directly from the google assistant results?

If you're a subscriber to these various services you'll need to link those accounts within settings. Did you follow the setup flow? It's kinda obvious and hard to miss as the system suggests you add services. Some services still need to be logged into if you use an app and there isn't an option built-in. Services won't just work after adding your Google account.

Hi @YaronReich, those shows being generated by a generic search pulls up anything that's accessible. If it has a lock on it that means it's behind a paywall (subscription service). If you want to watch any program with a lock you'll have to pay, so there's no way to just go watch it because it shows in search results.
