Google Home can't sign in on chromecast

Hi,

I have a chromecast with google tv and i followed the steps on Google Home to install it, but when i come to the step where i must sign in on chromecast i get the message that i can't sign in.

Can somebody help me please?

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue setting up your Chromecast with Google TV. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast with Google TV do you have, is it the 4K or HD? Are you using a personal Gmail account or a Workspace account? What's the make and model of the device you're using to set up your Chromecast with Google TV? Have you tried setting it up using the Chromecast Voice Remote?

I have the same issue.  I am trying to connect with a Philip Model 32PFS6402/12. It's the Chromecast HD with Google TV.

Hi Jennifer,
I tried to set up through my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and my Mini iPad 5. It's a personal gmail account. 
I have no issues with an older model of Chromecast.

Hi, I already tried a different google account, but it doesn't work.

Maybe because my phone runs on android os 13 and the chromecast runs on firmware 12? 

Could that be the problem?

Hi Jennifer,
I tried a different private gmail account and it did not work. When I wanted to add a new device and clicked on the Chromecast, nothing happened.
