Hi There

i need help on one of the issue i am facing with my google tv dongle with nest audio on.

I want to use my monitor screen as tv. I have google tv , nest audio and view-sonic monitor.

like the way we can use firestick and echo devices as home theater group in which audio will always come out from your echo device while you are watching anything on fire stick device. I want touse the same way with google tv and nest audio.

please guide how to do that ?

how to make stable audio group so no need to reconnect every time.

Hi Ck4sub4,

Thanks for reaching out. Are you trying to pair it via Bluetooth? If yes, please be advised that the Bluetooth compatibility between Chromecast with Google TV and Google Home devices for video and/or audio output is not supported.

On the other hand, if you would like to create a speaker group, please take note that we can't separate the video and audio. In the Speaker group, the music will be played on all devices in the group. Learn more here.

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hey there Ck4sub4,

You may find success in trying a different audio format on the Chromecast with Google TV, here is how to access those settings:

  1. Turn on your Chromecast and then at the top right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
  2. Select Display & Sound and then Advanced sound settings and then Format selection and then Manual.
  3. In the section “Supported formats,” select the format you want to use.

I would give each of those settings a try, and see if any are improvements over another. You may also try going into your monitor settings to see if there is a way to increase the sound.

I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions, please let us know.

Best regards,

Jeran
