Google tv Chromecast - no hdmi signal

My google tv worked fine for awhile, until the first time it got unplugged… when reconnected, tv says there is no signal on the hdmi connection.  Other hdmi devices work fine.  Tried all troubleshooting and nothing works.  Help?

Is there a status light lit on your Chromecast?

If so, what color is it (red or white) and is it steady or flashing?

If there is NO light, it is not getting power anymore.  Check your block and cable.

If there is a light, check that link for an explanation of what may be going on and what you should do.

Chris119988, hope that helps, but if you're still having trouble with your Chromecast, try the steps below:

 

  1. Check the HDMI cable connections to make sure it fits firmly into the TV’s HDMI port.
  2. Change the TV’s HDMI input (e.g. HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.). If that doesn’t work, try another HDMI port, for TVs with multiple ports.
  3. If possible, use a compatible HDMI extension cable.
  4. Make sure the Chromecast device is on the latest firmware version.
  5. If applicable, make sure the TV is on the latest firmware version.

If the issue persists, please check this support website article for additional steps.
