HDMI Available

I keep getting a message on my TV that says "HDMI 4 Available". It happens to whichever port my Chromecast is plugged into. If I switch ports, the message comes up with whichever port Chromecast is plugged into. How can I stop this notification. It pops up about every 30 seconds.

Hey there cynben4,

That is an interesting issue, and I can imagine that it's pretty annoying to have that error pop up every 30 seconds, so I'd be happy to help you out! The first thing I would check is if your TV's firmware is up-to-date. Then, I would unplug all other HDMI devices and just add the Chromecast by itself to see if the problem persists. Finally, if it does, try factory resetting the Chromecast, then try it again.
