Having trouble casting Oculus2 to my Samsung TV which has built-in Chromecast. Help?

We just got an Oculus2 headset and we are having a hard time getting the Oculus to cast to our TV. It is a new Samsung TV with built-in Chromecast. The Oculus will not show up as a device on the TV and the TV will not show up as an available device on the Oculus app. They are all on the same WiFI network. I saw that this is a known problem on the Oculus website, but is there anything we can do to get around it? It would be a shame if we cannot stream the Oculus on our TV just because of the model. Is there something I am overlooking or a way to get around this? So I have to buy an individual Chromecast device to plug into the TV?

Hi LisaP2,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh.

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please check this support website article to see some troubleshooting steps. Also, if this is only happening when casting from Oculus, please refer to the app manufacturer for additional help.

If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Jennifer
