Hey there Prabh,
I'm sorry to hear that your remote is having issues! I can imagine this issue is quite frustrating for you, so I'd be happy to help out. Now, are you referring to the Chromecast Voice Remote, or the Virtual Remote on your phone? If you are referring to the Chromecast Voice Remote, I would check what state the LED light on the Chromecast is, to see if it's trying to alert you about any errors. It wouldn't also hurt to factory reset the remote as well.
