I want to stream video to my Hisense TV, but want to play audio through my phone OR Bluetooth headset.

Is that possible? Is there an app that can help me split audio and video?

Hey there Chris Man,

If you connected those headphones as a Bluetooth device to your Chromecast with Google TV, then you would be able cast video to the TV and have audio come from the headphones.

I hope that answers your question, let me know if you had any more!

Hey there Manish,

I am real sorry about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! Were you able to get the Bluetooth headphone connected? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know it can be a tricky process. Let me just ask you some questions about your setup:

  • What model of Chromecast do you have?
  • What model of headphones are you trying to connect?
  • Did you already read this article on connecting Bluetooth devices?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran

Hi Jeran,

I am having the same issue, I want to cast video to my monitor and play audio through speakers.

Hey there tarun1723,

Welcome to the Nest Community Forums! Let me go ahead and ask you similar questions about your particular set-up:

  • What model of Chromecast do you have?
  • What model of speakers are you trying to connect?
  • Are you trying to hard-wire the speakers, or connect them via Bluetooth?
  • What kind of monitor do you have?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response! On a side note, depending on the monitor and the type of Chromecast you are using, this particular set-up may not function properly as the Chromecast devices were designed to work on TVs with speakers. You may be able to look for a 3rd-party workaround, but I wouldn't be able to help you there.

Best regards,

Jeran

Hi Jeran,

Apologies for the late response. It seems like my chromecast doesn't support only video casting. I won't be able to do that.

Thanks
