Is audio output from phone's jack possible when casting or mirroring from phone?

When casting or mirroring from my android phone to my tv with Chromecast HD, if I hook up headphones to my phone's 3.5mm jack, can I get audio from there or will there be no audio output from the 3.5mm jack?

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! To answer your question, if you connect headphones via your phone's 3.5mm jack, the sound will still cast to the Chromecast and output through your TV's speakers, and no sound will come from the headphones.
