Just signed up for Youtube TV and got a Chromecast with Google TV, how to start up in Youtube TV?

I would like the Chromecast device and TV to start up in the Youtube TV app, why do I have to go through all these menus every time?

I tried to help a little by attempting to move the Youtube TV icon over to the left side by holding and center button down and a side menu comes up with the option to move great but when I take this option no keys on the remove will move it left or right what do I press to move the icon?

Thanks

I figured out or at least it started working to move the icon buttons, and I also learned that you can remap the Youtube button so I made that Youtube TV and that is a big help, I wish there were a list of shortcuts and commands to view.

Hey there DBKelly,

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! I'm glad you were able to move the Home Screen applications around, I know I've had to rearrange my apps quite a bit, so I didn't have to spend so much time in the menus. If it's quicker for you, you can always ask the Google Assistant to launch the app you'd like to use, instead of using the remote to navigate to it. This also works with any Assistant enabled device, such as a Google Home speaker.  When it comes to shortcuts or tricks, there isn't really a guide out there, but there are tons of YouTube videos that help out.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
