Location setting error

I purchased a brand new chromecast hd from google store Australia. Having signed in and set it up I cannot install apps as the chromecast is telling me I’m in the wrong country. It’s showing American apps. I’m not using a vpn, am on a local network and have a local address signed in on the google account. Help please. Google Australia support is slow in responding. Anyone know how I can get the chromecast to recognize I’m in Australia as is the case?

Thank you. The issue was resolved eventually through chat support - though it frustratingly did require moving through many layers until I found someone who actually knew what to do. For the benefit of others that may come searching for a solution, here was the issue:

Unknowingly there was a 'payment profile' attached to my google account that was from many years ago with a US address. Though every address and location was set correctly to Australia this one profile was dictating the app store location. Deletion of the payment profile resolved the issue.

Hello Bp123456,

Thanks for reaching out. Please reboot your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV. Using a different Google Account might also help.
