Hi there!

It sounds like you're having some trouble setting up your Chromecast. Let's walk through a few steps to get things working.

1. Check your Chromecast's connection:

  • Make sure your Chromecast is within 20 feet of your Wi-Fi router and the device you're using to set it up.
  • Briefly unplug the Chromecast's power cord, then plug it back in.

2. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is discoverable:

  • Hidden networks won't be detected by your Chromecast. If you're unsure about your network type, consult your internet service provider (ISP).

3. Restart your router:

  • Sometimes a quick restart can resolve network issues. Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to fully boot up.

4. Try connecting to a mobile hotspot:

  • If you're still having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network, try setting up your Chromecast using a mobile hotspot from your phone.

5. Additional troubleshooting:

  • Close and relaunch the Google Home app.
  • Restart your mobile device.
  • Use a different set up device

Once you've completed these steps, try setting up your Chromecast again.

Regards

Manuel
