My chromecast remote gets really hot and stopped working (I NEED HELP!)

My chromecast remote stopped working all of a sudden, I changed the batteries but it gets EXTREMELY hot upon changing batteries and stopped working. No led indicator, i tried 2 different brands of batteries and nothing, metal contacts are clean and free of corrosion and blockage. I need help PLEASE!!
