I work as a network engineer at a university in order for our students to connect devices to the Wi-Fi they register their devices using the device mac address prior to connecting to the Network as the MAC address and PSK is how the devices are authorized to access the Wi-Fi. When setting up the Chromecast with Google TV we can locate the device MAC address by connecting to a laptop Hotspot, however since the device uses a random MAC address for each Network it initially connects to we cannot connect it to the School Wi-Fi without first turning off the random MAC Address.
How can we turn off the Random MAC Address during Setup or prior to Connecting to a New Network?
