I just bought a Chromecast with Google TV and plugged it to an LG 27UL600 monitor. First boot up, it turned on just fine and I successfully set it up and even watched some Moon Knight for a test run. Then I switched over to HDMI port 2 to play on Xbox. One hour later, I switched back to port 1 and it's all black screen.
I thought it was just unresponsive to the remote. The monitor doesn't seem to be compatible with it, so I tried maybe turning it on via Google Home app, but it said that my Chromecast is still on. Even the light is white. I tried pressing random buttons and through the app it shows some activity. So clearly the Chromecast still works.
Tried a different HDMI port and still nothing. Both ports still works because I tested with my Xbox and both displays it fine. Tried rebooting both the Chromecast and the monitor, still nothing.
Why is it behaving like this? Any explanations?

Here is an older post with a similar issue using the Chromecast and an LG monitor.
Can you test the Chromecast on a TV?
