Not able to login to amazon prime video application

I brought new Chrome cast with Google tv 4k streaming device from flikart. I am able download/Install all the apps. Able to login to all the apps that I have subscribed.

But I am not able to login to amazon prime video app, I can open prime video app and when I try to click on sign in It will load for a minute a d gives a error message saying not able to generate a code please click on get a new code button. I tried by selecting the Get a new code option again it will show loading symbol and will throw same error. I have cleared the cache, uninstall and installed the prime video, updated the app as well as chromecast device, done factory rest. None of the above steps helped me to love the prime video login issue.  So I thought it may be issue with this device and have placed a replacement for this. I brought a new chrome cast 4k streaming device and first thing I updated everything and done all setup and tried to login to amazon prime video app and facing same problem with this new device also. Can any one please help me out to fix this issue.

I believe if you visit the prime video website with a desktop browser you can manually create/join up a device and device codes within the profile settings. Also you might have too many devices registered etc. Make sure you regional and time settings are all correct.

I’m sorry to know about what happened. It looks like the issue is isolated to Amazon Prime. It would be best to contact Amazon support for assistance with the log in.

I am having the same issue.it will not generate a code to sign in. Prime video works fine on my Roku, Fire tv stick and Echo Show devices. I have updated and reset the Chromecast, removed devices from my prime account and uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times. While my other devices work fine with Prime Video, the Chromecast will not allow a sign in code to be displayed. Does anybody know the secret to get Chromecast to allow Prime Video to run on it?

Hi there,

 

I appreciate the details. It would be best to contact Amazon (Prime Video) about this, especially now that it seems multiple users are affected. The more users report this to them, the sooner they coordinate with Google with a resolution. It’s possible that they might resolve this via patch update, but then again, you need to report this to them. Rest assured that your Chromecast device is working as intended. I’ll keep this thread open for one more day. Let us know if you still have questions.

I agree, as the code isn't being generated at all it points to it being an amazon issue. Give their techsupport a call; it's a service you are paying for!
