Only 2 channel sound when casting Disney+

HI,

 

I have seen others having same issue  as I have.

I have a Chromecast Ultra connected to an Yamaha RX-V6A.

Netflix and Prime can cast surround sound but from Disney+ it only gets PCM 2 channel sound. It doesnt matter if th Chromecast ultra is connected directly to the TV or to the AVR.

I have tried casting from 2 different Android phones TNA.

When using Disney+ app downloaded to the TV (LG) it will output surround sound to the AVR and work

Did anyone manage to solve the issue?

Hi dahlgren78,

 

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. This seems to be isolated to the Disney+ app. Did you contact them about this? If it’s your Chromecast Ultra, then all contents from all apps should be affected, including Netflix and Prime. Contact them and let us know how it goes.
