Casting desktop to 4K TV from PC looks like 480 SD, is there a way to improve the picture quality?

The only way to improve the picture quality is to simply cast higher resolution video content.

I'm casting 4k already and I was asking about the desktop resolution (Word, Excel, etc.)

Desktop resolution is dependent of monitor supported resolution and graphic card resolution setting.

Both PC and TV monitors are 4K (=3840x2160) and GPU also (RTX3080) and are set to 4K resolution. WiFi is handled by Netgear Nighhawk and I have no problem watching other 4K content. Only casting desktop via ChromeCast (TV built-in) is the problem with a poor image quality. TV is Sony XR Oled from late last year.
