Google tv does not require pin for parent account at startup.
That makes kids profile totally useless because we turn off the tv directly from our parents profile.
2 years after this issue was flagged in Google Nest, this simple issue is still not addressed by Google, which is a shame in my opinion.

Hi @JFR1,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with a PIN for parent profiles. I'd be happy to help!
At the moment, a PIN for parent profiles at startup is not available. However, this is a very helpful feature that we all hope will become available in the future. I deeply appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences, and we'll take it as feedback.
For now, the best option is locking your child's profile. With a profile lock, you can't exit a kid's profile unless you enter the adult's Google Account PIN. This is the same PIN that you use for Google Pay and other Google services. Here's how to do it: Use parental controls on Google TV.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Hello,
It seems for a couple of years now that folks have been complaining to Google about parental controls not working and kids being able to watch unlimited TV on Google TV and chromecast, don't seem to be any solutions besides Google themselves telling users to try competitors solutions.
Does anyone know if there has been some kind of workaround for this or has Google just completely ignored the issue.
Thanks
