Hi to all,
My chromecast some times no longer connects to wifi (no wifi) indicating me "IP configuration error". I have to restart the chromecast in order to fix, temporarily the problem.
Changing google account, on the other hand, everything works perfectly.
Can you tell me how come?
Thanks

Hi @Fabbro
Did you try rebooting your router/modem? Meaning turning it off and on again? 😊

Hi, thanks for you reply.
Yep, I've also done a factory reset of the chromecast but nothing changed. The only thing that helped me is using the secondary google account (you know, when you power on the chromecast and it ask you which account you want to use). If I choose the primary account (where my youtube account is linked) will appear the wifi problem. With the secondary account, zero problems.

Hi @Fabbro
Are you still having issues even after a factory reset and setting it up like a new device?
Rather strange an IP error is based on your profile.
What is the exact error you are getting?

Yep, the error was the same, after the factory reset.
When I try to re-connect to a wifi, a "IP configuration error" appears. Even if I try to connect to hotspot made by my Pixel 7.
Google support adviced me to write here because it's a profile problem, 100%

My chromecast cannot scan any wifi network, but there are lots of wifi around my location, sometime it' allow me to connect around 30 mins and disconnect again.
I have try reboot my router and chromecast even factory reset my chromecast, it still cannot fix the problem.
And i have test my router network have no problem with other device.

Hi folks,
Thanks for your help here, @RXShorty.
@Fabbro, I just want to confirm if the account that works is a regular account and the one that you’re having trouble with is a workspace account.
@TTgs, can you try to see if it would detect a mobile hotspot standing close to it? Distance and outside influences (interference, obstructions, etc.) can also be the cause. Right now, the objective is to determine if your Chromecast device can detect a wireless network.
I look forward to your responses.
Thanks,
Kimy

Hi, I've resolved the problem changing the TV. Binding the TV with the Google remote control makes now all works good. So I think the problem was about the power off with the CEC of the TV.
