I just installed a Chromecast with Google TV on a 5 year old Vizio TV. Setup went well. The only issue I've noticed is that the remote will power the TV on but not off. When I use the power button to try to turn the TV off, the Chromecast shuts down leaving the TV on showing a no signal message. The Chromecast is plugged into an AC adapter. The Vizio TV remote has only one power button, not separate on and off buttons like some devices, so I'm surprised the Chromecast remote only does half the job. Any advice would be appreciated. I have the exact same issue, though on a different tv.
Have an LG tv that's a few years old now. Power button on the Google tv remote will turn the tv on, but not off. What's the point if I have to keep two remotes?
