Set up Chromecast - now can't get cable shows

Yesterday my son set up Chromecast for our TV that also has AT&T U-Verse for cable. The Chromecast works beautifully but when I use the input button on the AT&T U-Verse remote to switch over to cable, I can't access either shows or my recordings. Anyone know why?

Hi ChapelHillBetsy,

 

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about that. Could you please try to reboot your Chromecast and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV? Also, instead of using the AT&T U-Verse remote, could you try to use the input button on your Chromecast Voice Remote and check if the same issue persists?

I called my son who set up the Chromecast, who suggested I reposition the box (which is behind the TV. because it is mounted on the wall over the fireplace). He said he must have put it back in such a way that it hid the 'eye'. He said to rotate the ATT box behind the TV to get it in a good position. That worked!
