I've not been on Prime for a few days and got on this morning to start streaming "The Boys" via the app/Chromecast/GoogleTV. Black screen. The only thing that shows after I hit play is "HDR10+" in the upper right corner...then nothing. Not even the status bar or any of that info. All black until I back out of it.
Vizio TV and can watch it on Smartcast. I just don't think I should have to back out of Google to do that! So what gives and how can I get back to Prime on Chromecast?

Thanks for reaching out. Is the black screen issue only happening when casting videos from the Prime app? Please try to reboot your Chromecast and uninstall the Prime app. Plugging in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV and on a different TV screen might also help.
