I had to pick labels but disregard them as I have no idea if they apply....my 2021 Vizio Tv has Smartcast/Chromecast but a message says the screensaver feature is no longer supported by Google. I find this foreboding as it's a newer model ....Does anyone know why this feature was discontinued so soon after purchasing and will the preloaded casting be gone soon too??!!
Any feedback appreciated.

Hi Gogreene777,
Thanks for posting. The changes in the features and settings of the TV that has a Chromecast built-in are decided by the manufacturers. I would suggest that you reach out to Vizio for further help. You may contact them here.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Thank you for responding....but the message in my tv cast section clearly said that Google (not Vizio) discontinued the ambient feature....it is disappointing as the tv is new and yr model only 2021... It is not a major issue, just worrisome if losing other functionalities..but then it's Google, what recourse does the public have....none really.

Jeran,
Never did get an explanation from Google on my issue but since you are imposing a time constraint for someone to come up with a reasonable answer , I guess one won't be coming....

Hey there Gogreene777,
With Chromecast built-in being an open-source software, Vizio is able to modify Chromecast built-in, so we aren't able to troubleshoot it outside basic issues. Like Jennifer suggested, it's best if you reach out to Vizio to see if they are aware of the issue, such as needing to update your firmware, or if they need to update their Cast firmware.
I hope this helps, let me know if you had any more questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Jeran
