Which generation Chromecast do I have?

Wikipedia and Google Images suggests the second generation (2015, NC2-6A5) is a black polished circle, and the third generation (2018, GA00439) is a grey matte circle.

However, I have one here that's a grey matte circle but with the the NC2-6A5 model number on the device/box. The photo on the box also shows it as a grey matte circle.

It was ordered from Google directly, so it's genuine.

Can anyone help?

If its the matte finish with the rounded edges then I would suspect a 3rd gen.  you can take a photo if you wish and upload it for confirmation.
