Why can I only add programs to my watchlist from the search menu?

I want to add series and movies from different apps into my watchlist. What I noticed, I use the latest Chromecast with Google TV, is that I need to search for the movie or series first, for example "End of the road", then get the search result, click on it and add it to my watchlist.

But if I use a specific app, I can´t just scroll through the content of that app and add series and films directly to my general watch list. I can add favorites which I get access to when using a specific app but for adding a series or a film to my general watchlist, I then need to search for the exact title and then Google TV finds it for me, presents it with title, description and so on and I then have to add that certain series or film to my watchlist.

Why this lousy functionality?

Perhaps the possibility to add to the general watchlist is possible from some apps but for most of them I use, it´s not possible at all.

Hey there Ann-Cathrine,

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! I think that's a fantastic idea. If you have the time, would you be willing to submit feedback via Google TV to let Google know about your suggestion? Google takes all submitted feedback seriously, and the more they receive feedback about a particular feature, the more likely they are to prioritize it.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know, otherwise, I'll go ahead and lock the thread in 24 hours.

Best regards,
Jeran
