My chromecast won't connect to any wifi, I tried rebooting it by unplugging the whole thing and plugging it back in but that didn't work and I cant reboot the wifi router because I don't own the house, and almost the whole house is using the wifi right now

Please, have a look at previously rised issues in ragard to Wi-Fi connectivity problem. Try different solutions and let us know the effects or ask further questions.

I'm having the same exact problems and I have been using the device with an ethernet cable for more than a year it just won't connect to the internet.

Were you able to follow robus_pl's advice and look at any of our articles regarding Wi-Fi connectivity issues? If so, were you able to resolve it, or did you encounter any error messages?
