brought movies and some will not play with sound

 brought some movies and some will not play with sound via my chromecast device connected to my TV, any idea's?

I've tried using my android phone and my iPad

Hi Ian2023,

 

Thanks for reaching out. I know how it feels when you're having issues casting movies to your Chromecast device. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: from what application are you trying to cast? How far are you from the TV when casting? Also, what type of Chromecast device do you have?

 

Let's go ahead and reboot your Chromecast, TV, and router by unplugging them from the power source and leave them unplug for 1 minute.  Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals. These will help us refresh the connection of your device.

Hi Muddi, My Chromecast is the "round one" (2nd Gen I think it is) 

I still unable to get sound on the movies

 

It powers up and is showing my pictures no problem

But most of my purchased videos wont play, the youtube videos seem to play ok with sound (my subscribed channels etc)

Im still baffled to why the movies won't work with sound. The PC is fine as well as the phone and Ipad I have.

I'm using YouTube to cast my movies and only a couple have sound. Other videos (such people who i have subscribed to) video channels on the platform are playing fine

Hey Ian2023,

 

Could you give us a sample of movies or videos that you're having an issue with? Also, what is the cast firmware version of your Chromecast device?

Hi Muddi, 

Firmware version is : 275994. Cast Firmware is : 1.56.275994

Films not working with sound are:-

Black Adam,Ghostbusters (2021),The Hobbit (part3), Dune (1984), Baby Driver, Red Sparrow, Broke Back Mountain, X-Men

Films Working are:-

Hitchhikers guide to galaxy, Good morning Vietnam, Schindlers List Shaun the Sheep:The Big Day 

To name a few I have .
