chromecast works fine with some channels, others is black screen

I use Chromecast to link my desktop PC to TV.  Casting works fine for all channels in terms of seeing the mirror of what is on my PC monitor.  With some channels (eg BBC iPlayer) casting the programmes works fine too, but with some (eg Netflix, All4), when I press Play I get sound but just a black screen - even when I've seen the login acreen. This has only started recently.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems that your Chromecast device is working as intended, as you were able to cast. It may be related to encryption or content protection. It must be their way of protecting copyrighted contents. As you cast it, it detects that it is being broadcast outside of its intended media platform. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. Let us know how it goes.
