Hi everyone! I use a CapCut-edited clip workflow for my home security setup involving my Nest Cam. Basically, when motion is detected I edit and trim key moments in CapCut old version, then save them to a folder that the Nest system can access for review and automation triggers. Lately I’ve encountered an issue where some of the trimmed clips don’t trigger the expected automation (like display on the Nest Hub or alert push), even though the original footage works fine. I’ve checked permissions, folder sync and file formats, but can’t nail it down.
Has anyone else here integrated a video-editing step (with CapCut or similar apps) into their Nest home-automation workflow? What file-format, resolution or naming conventions do you use so the Nest device reliably triggers from the clip? Any suggestions or settings tweaks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
