I bought some nest cams and nest mini speakers to be alerted based on motion (ideally for people only).
Can someone please confirm what I need to do to get it working?

For anyone facing the same issue, I found a solution. Use the script editor instead of doing it from you phone.
As a newcomer to home automation, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the script editor. It's very powerful! 👏👏 I hope & suspect this is the future of the platform - perhaps provide a UI on top of the script editor but give full control for those who want to go to the code. This is what I was hoping for and has restored my faith in Google Home 😀

Script Editor is sadly anything but powerful. It lacks basic conditionals, templating and the list of starters/actions available for most of the devices will more often than not put into into thinking 'why is this $obvious functionality not available'.

@shogo your response to my post a while back about not being able to record while viewing Nest cameras live was the best I’ve ever seen on this forum. I just wanted to say thank you for that. After your post, I became frustrated with Google and decided to stay away from everything related to it, especially since there were people commenting who don’t even use the system but act like they know what they’re talking about. I really appreciate your thoughtful response. Kudos to yo
