Camera problems

Hi! When I am trying to install my camera is showing this message: Try connecting again. If that doesn't work, try
rebooting your Living Room Display or turning
your phone's airplane mode on and off before

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

 

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: is this a built-in camera on your Nest Hub Max? If so, Is this the first time that you are setting it up or it was set up before? Do you have another Nest camera at home? If so, are they on the same Wi-Fi as your Nest Hub Max? What steps have you taken so far? Try the steps below. 

  1. Force close the Google Home app wait 5 seconds. 
  2. Reopen the Google Home app .
  3. In the Google Home app home screen, make sure all their Google Home or Nest products are online.
  4. We recommend that you remove offline or unused devices from your home structure as it might create setup issues.

Hi! Thank you for your reply, I followed the steps, but it’s still not working, I delete the home app, I add a new home, but when I want to install the camera, it’s showing this message “Problem connecting to icloud” and I cannot do anything

Could you please provide the cast firmware version of your Google Nest Hub Max?

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"
