Hi there. I have recently purchased the wired version of Google Nest doorbell (2nd gen) along with the Nest Hub Mini. The problem is that I don’t have any chime installed in my apartment and I don’t feel like getting any. Will the doorbell still work without it? I prefer to receive notifications on my phone and the hub. Please advise. Thank you 😊

If you have doorbell wires connected to an appropriate transformer (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132), you should be able to; just turn off the "Indoor chime" option for the doorbell in the Google Home app, and turn on "Visitor announcements".
If you do not have wiring, you could use the OhmKat Video Doorbell Power Supply - Compatible with Nest; we use that with one of our Google Nest Hello Doorbells. The OhmKat adapter is designed to work without a chime puck.
If your doorbell is wired to a doorbell transformer, it seems--from other posts in this forum--that the chime puck is not required, though Google Nest itself refuses to be clear on this; see their unclear responses on this thread:

Hello sienik,
Thanks for visiting the Community.
Have you seen MplsCustomer’s response above? If yes, how was it?
If your home doesn't already have a doorbell system, there are a few options:
You can use the Google Store doorbell compatibility checker to find out which Nest doorbells are compatible with your home.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer.
Best,
