Can't control Switcher breeze through Google home

GALAH
Community Member

Hi,

I have nest and Google home app.

I bought switcher breeze to control my AC.

I can control the AC through the Switcher home app.

I can see the AC status in Google home app.

I can't control the AC through the Google home app.

I've tried:

1. Removing switcher home app

2. Unlink switcher home app from Google home

3. Removing Google home app cache

4. Reinstalling switcher home app

5. Relink the apps through Google home.

I still have the same problem.

What should I do?

Thanks

Hi GALAH,

Thanks for posting in the community! I’m sorry to hear that you cannot control the Switcher Breeze using the Google Home app, even though you can see the AC status there. I understand how important it is for you to control your home's air conditioner. I’d be happy to help!

I also appreciate all the efforts you've been making to resolve this inconvenience. To better assist you, I’d like to ask the following:

  • What type of speaker or display device do you have? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify the model of your device.
  • Is this the first time that you’re experiencing this situation?
  • Have you ever been able to manage the Switcher Breeze as intended using the Google Home app?
  • Are you using the same Google account for both the Google Home app and the Switch Breeze app?

In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:

  • Update Software: Ensure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app, your mobile software, and the Switcher Breeze app.
  • Check Nest device firmware: Verify the firmware version of your Nest device. Refer to this article for details: Google speaker and display firmware versions and release notes.
  • Device Synchronization: Ensure all your devices are synced within the same home structure. This helps them communicate effectively. For instructions, see this article: Connect third-party smart home devices in the Google Home app.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
